Beta Hall Dorm Reviews at USF

With Beta Hall, you're getting exactly what you pay for. It's not the nicest pr the newest but it gets the job done. The bathrooms aren' always the cleanest but that's because of the residents. My favorite part of living in Beta Hall was the sense of community it had. Though I only lived there for a short summer term, I cherish the friendships and memories I was able to make while living there.

I absolutely love USF, but Beta Hall was a huge letdown. The walls were too rugged to hang anything, and for some reason a wall was placed directly in front of my window. I was lucky to get a two person dorm but no roommate, which gave me tons of extra space! That was just about the only positive living in Beta. The kitchen was extremely run down and the gathering spaces were uncomfortable wooden couches with nothing else in the room. The bathrooms were not private at all and frequently dirty. Other dorms have foosball tables and well-maintained modern kitchens and gathering spaces, and very private bathrooms. I would definitely recommend looking into Juniper hall or Poplar hall, unless this is absolutely all that you can afford.

Beta hall was an experience at the least. I met some great people and made a lot of great memories. It's not the fanciest dorm but to me it just added to the whole college experience. It honestly was probably my favorite semester.

Living in the dorm is pretty quiet on my floor. Many students have decided to remain home due to COVID so the dorms are clean and the bathrooms are well maintained. I am happy to be able to live on campus.

Beta Hall is central to everything but close to nothing. Getting to and from classes will take longer than you want but at meal times you'll never be outside of easy walking distance. Other than doors that slam no matter how careful you are, the dorms are relatively quiet. The "kitchen" only has an oven and stove. There is no microwave or any other ease-of-use amenities. The bathrooms are pretty well kept but only the major parts are maintained every day, so mirrors and shower walls are neglected. Overall it is a nice place for being the cheapest on campus and I will probably live there until the end of my time at USF.
