I felt like the location and atmosphere was great there. It was close to everything and central to food and events. However, i wasn’t a fan of how old and outdated everything was. With all of that tuition money, they needed to spend it on some remodels because it was very worn.

Severe acne has been grievously weighing down my self esteem since 7th grade. Teenage girls develop an innumerable sum of insecurities when it comes to meeting the eurocentric beauty standard, but the effect that visible acne had on me was torturing, demanding, and unwilling. From horrendously attempting to cover my face with makeup, declining invitations to leave the house to see friends, and refusing to remove facial covering in any social situation, I inhabited an extreme hatred for myself and how I looked. I felt like a monster. Unfortunately, I never regained respect for myself while I still suffered from acne. It took 6 brutal months of Isotretinoin (Accutane) to finally appreciate my feminine beauty and learn to love other parts of myself that weren’t necessarily physical. My journey was extremely difficult, and I suffered through the worst depression I had ever experienced. Although I'm not sure if having clear skin was worth what seems like permanent damage on my mental health, I believe accutane may have saved my life.

Very poor kitchen accommodations designed to push you into overpriced meal plans and very poor lighting (literally a single lightbulb for each room, including the living room) makes for an authentic prison-like experience. You wake up, you go to the commissary (because you can't very well make your own food) go about your business for the day and at the end, you come back, flip the light switch, and still can't see well.
