West Campus Housing Dorm Reviews at UTC

West Campus is the newest addition to the UTC campus, so the quality of the housing is very high. The only issue is the occasional loud neighbor running through the hall. The rooms are clean, and the common areas have great television sets for group gatherings.

Personally, West Campus was a great place for a first-time freshman. This is where all freshman residents stay. The security is great and there is always access to free laundry. It is very close to most of the student learning buildings as well as the dining hall. The RA's are very easy to communicate with and the building is overall very clean. There is also a POD market and a cafe in the lobby. I really liked my stay at West Campus besides having to room with another person which was definitely an adjustment.

I’ve loved my current time in the west campus dorms. The best thing about them is that there are NO communal bathroom, each room has its own. Another thing is that these ones come with a microwave and a fridge (midsize or mini) and that really helped when moving in.

West Campus is the newest dorm on campus, so naturally, it is the cleanest & most expensive. There is an Einstein Bros Bagels & a Pod Market downstairs. However, it does give off more hotel vibes, so if you're looking for a more homey feel, I would recommend looking elsewhere on campus.

West is good for freshman year. It's the newest building and still super nice. You learn about living on your own and how to take care of yourself. There are different options for living spaces to choose from.

It was overall a great experience! I think that my complaint would be having to go down each time to let a friend in the building, it was always a pain as you would have to go through two sets of security doors before being able to get to your friend.

I really enjoyed my first semester in West Campus. Not only was my personal living space very nice, the building as a whole was great for my first college dorm experience. West Campus was always clean, and the staff was kind and helpful all throughout the day and even night. There were two dining options and a market inside the building, which was very convenient when I didn't want to walk too far. Inside my personal space, I had a bathroom, a living area, and was provided with very nice and useful furniture.

I love living at west campus it’s extremely convenient I only have to leave for class and work. I do however wish there were more laundry facilities or washers and dryers but other than that I would change a thing.

I had a wonderful time living in West Campus. It made the transition for my roommate and I from Memphis to Chattanooga a lot easier, because of how clean and nice it was. I felt very safe and was close to most of the things on campus. We actually ended up winning a contest for having a well-kept nicely decorated room and were selected to be the dorm room that people tour when visiting the university. I loved living in this dorm my freshman year, and I am still currently paying to live on campus for my sophomore year for these reasons.
