It was on the farther side of rest of campus but was close to the other residence halls so it wasn't bad. The dorms at UTD in general are pretty good with the entire thing being a suite-style. Three rooms per dorm, three sinks, one toilet and shower, in each suite. The dorms are pretty safe too. The individual rooms have physical keys but the rest of the building and the suite use your keycard. You can't even get in the building itself past certain hours if you don't have the correct keycard and the hallways are always locked. The toilets are a little loud but it's manageable. Soundproofing isn't the best either but it never bothered me too much.
