Pike Suites Dorm Reviews at UW-Parkside

Pike Suites is a modern structure that gives the impression that you are living in a luxury hotel. Each suite is cleaned regularly, and the maintenance staff is friendly and helpful. The suites are comfortable, allowing the freshman to settle in without fear of being in a dangerous atmosphere. I can confidently state that I would recommend this dorm to a friend. The Pike Suites doubles have the most space in the UW college system. The parking lot arrangement is not ideal because this is a recent structure. There were no parking spaces provided with the recent addition of the building to meet the needs of the incoming students for storing their cars. Petitions are being passed around to have a portion of the commuter lot donated to Pike locals. Many students in Ranger Hall consider Pike Suites as a luxury building and have asked about the benefits of living there. Another advantage of living in Pike is its proximity to the main building. It is a mere minute long walk to the building, which is convenient in case of severe weather.

Pike Suites have been very good. With routine cleaning and an easy layout to navigate and understand, the Pike Suites have made moving into college a seem less and pleasant experience. However the trash rooms can seem overflowing at times, this is never a constant issue.

This is my third year of college but my first year on a four-year campus. I've been blessed with private bathrooms and showers and the staff is very respectable. The automatic light in our closet went out and refused to turn back on, but within a day after filing a work-order, staff came to fix it. Its been working beautifully ever since. In addition, upon coming to Parkside, they suggested those of us who were staying in the apartments or suites (that's me) should bring cleaning supplies and other essentials. I assumed this meant that upkeep would be expected of us - I was wrong! Another staff member came in a week in and cleaned our bathroom area for us! My only complaint is that we have to pay for laundry. It sounds ridiculous of me to complain about, but other colleges I toured advertised the free laundry and I'm already paying thousands to attend. Other than that everything is stellar.
