Fleming-Hovlid Hall Dorm Reviews at UW-Stout

Fleming Hall was very LGBT+ friendly, which is what caught my attention in the first place. I had been in another hall previously to this one, and did not enjoy my time there, while this hall felt like a breath of fresh air. It was clean, had a lot of space, it was accepting, and had adequate lighting which is something you don't really think about as important until you have a hall with bad lighting, it can seriously affect your mental well being. Overall, a great experience.

During my time I have lived in three different dorms and eventually the on-campus apartment Red Cedar. Out of the dorms, FH has been my favorite. It was the only dorm to have a unisex bathroom and a common area with a kitchen. Overall, FH was peaceful and well-kept. It is one of the more modern/updated dorms. I also love that it is connected to north point dining, the minimart, and the gym so you don't have to go out in cold weather during the winter months.

Loved the community and the experience. I was really nervous to go to the dorms and be away from home for the first time and after living at Hovlid I wouldn't trade it for the world! It was super safe and super fun to be a part of the community.

Living at Hovlid during my second year at stout was great. I had a lot of fun and met some great people that I am still friends with. It was really conveniently located near the bus stop and was connected to the cafeteria and gym.
