Wellers Hall Dorm Reviews at UW-Whitewater

I thought the dorm experience was going to be horrible, but I have enjoyed it in Wellers Hall thus far. There have been few things I really didn't enjoy. One was the beginning of the semester when we had a stretch of time where it was over 90 degrees for a week. Our dorm room was hotter than hot, but now that it has cooled down the heating system works well and doesn't overheat the room. There really isn't too much that goes on within the dorm except for across the hall in my neighbor's room. They are consistently noisy with lots of people coming in and out of their room all day and night. Yet, they are still very respectful and kind people. Our RAs throughout the building hold events where we pot plants or get ice-cream, make popcorn and watch movies. Overall, I would recommend this dorm to anyone. It is only 4 floors and is filled with amazing staff.

The noise was next to unbearable. My dorm mates were almost never quiet. My RA never did any thing about them, even when there were supposed to be quiet hours they were loud. They hated it when our RA told them to be quiet during finals week. Not that they were.

The staff are so nice, however the other residents are overgrown children. They are almost always yelling, refuse to talk to each in their rooms, rip up the posters and leave toilet paper on the floor.

Was a great first year and transition into college. Dorms were a tad small and the bathroom were gross. If you're a girl remember to be courteous of others. Drains will clog if to much hair goes down them. Safe environment and pleasant neighbors.

Wellers has been a great experience for me. The staff and people surrounding me make it easy to work hard and focus on schooling. You can tell these people really care and want me to be the best I can be.
