New Residence Hall East Dorm Reviews at VA Tech

The building is full of science students so it's a relatively quiet and chill dorm, but it depends on your suitemates. The suite style is nice and there is AC, which isn't the case in a lot of other dorm buildings. The LLC is not worth it though.

I lived on the first and third floors of New Res. the only annoying part is living on the side of the Hall opposite the laundry when you're on the first floor because you have to go outside and then back inside if you don't want to go up and down a floor instead. Otherwise, it was a fine living space.

All around great dorm. The staff were nice and everything was kept clean. there were plenty of places where you could get studying done. Includes several vending machines that are always supplied and there's a well equipped weightroom.

I thought everyone was super nice in the residence hall. It was a very inclusive environment .The staff there was also super kind and really clean. The building is very clean and it's a good size. There are four floors so it's not too big or too small.

It's a good dorm. You can get anywhere you want to go on campus in ten minutes or less. It is also convenient that it is right next to Owens Food Court. The added bonus of a suite door, as well as a main door and a room door, makes one feel secure.

I am extremely satisfied with how the dorm is kept, and the staff that keep it up. The laundry area, as well as the kitchen, are always kept up in top shape, and they never have anything broken or unusable there. Very reliable.
