Chadbourne Residence Hall Dorm Reviews at University of Wisconsin

Overall, it has been a fun experience living here. We are basically central to the campus, so it's really easy to get to any class. I like how Chad is a mixture of quiet but fun, making it easy to socialize or enjoy some quiet time.

Chadbourne is a great social dorm to meet people. There are a lot of events and free food that go on to socialize. There are many good lounging areas and study spaces as well. The house fellows are also chill.

My freshman year in the dorms was unique because it was during Covid. Because of that, there were a a lot rules in place that restricted a lot of things a normal dorm student could usually do. All I can say is that I didn't like wearing masks everywhere and that we could only have 4 people max in our room.

I lived there in 1988-89 on the 7th floor and loved it. I took the stairs a lot, had a great view and made life-long friends. The location was great for my classes, access to State Street, and activities all over campus.

First, I was a resident during the Covid-19 pandemic, so my experience is different from most years. Chadbourne was a quiet dorm with friendly people and connected to Rhetas dining hall. The convenience of food and friendly, helpful people make the dorm a nice fit if you are not looking for Southeast dorms.

The staff were friendly, students easily found cliques and hung out among themselves, there were nights a cook would make food on our floor (it was the first year Chadbourne was built so maybe they were going above and beyond), everything was clean and had tutoring rooms, computer lab, and a commons inside.
