Eicher Hall Dorm Reviews at WMU

overall I had a good experience in Eicher hall. The bathrooms were between two rooms so you shared a bathroom with three other people (same sex). about a 5 minute walk from the valley dining center and a 10-15 minute walk to classroom buildings. There wasn't really an area to "hang out" other than each others rooms. No air conditioning so it got hot in the room during the warm months.

My experience here was shaped greatly by COVID-19, but the safety measures and cleanliness were up to the standards I would expect of a college institution. Overall I enjoyed my experience here and I would've enjoyed it even more without the virus.

Living in Either Hall has allowed me to create many memorable memories. I have made some great friends. It has great studying areas but considering that we are currently in a pandemic there are some circumstances that would have made this experience even better and more enjoyable.

I love living in the dorms your first year. With this year having a pandemic, I thought it would be harder to make friends and have events with the people in my hall, but it wasn't. My RA would talk to us almost daily ask how we were doing, she would also create pandemic friendly events for us to attend. We would gather outside or on webex and it was great. The residents are great too. Someone would text in the group chat if they needed change for laundry or batteries and someone would always respond. The only thing I didnt like about living in Eicher or Valley 2 for that matter, is the hill.

I am a resident of Eicher Hall fall 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic. Because of this there aren’t that many activities to do in the dorms and I’,m glad that there aren’t. Overall I am happy with my dorm. I think the dorms are decently sizes especially if you end up with a single. The staff did a very good job at keeping everything clean.

This has been my first year on campus, Eicher is the very first dorm I have ever been in. I really like my RA she is amazing and nice, the halls are always cleaned and look good. Im very glad that Eicher was my first placement.
