Atkins Residence Hall Dorm Reviews at Winston-Salem State

Atkins is a female-only dorm. Although it is one of the oldest dorms on campus, I believe it to be better than the newly built ones. The newly built dorms have better technology, such as key swipes, or touchless toilets. However, there are some flaws that they have. Atkins does not have such great technology as the newly built dorms, but I would much rather be in Atkins. It is also for a great price.

Atkins is an all girls dorm that consists of 6 levels. It is the oldest dorm at Winston Salem State University. The rooms are kind of small, but overall the dorms are pretty comfortable. I love that we get to control the room temperature, where as some other dorms don’t have that ability. The cleaning crew comes in every morning to upkeep the bathroom and make sure that it is up to par. There is a common area kitchen down below, and study rooms on every floor. The laundry rooms are located on every other floor.

Atkins was not as pleasing for the amount of dorm money we do have to pay as a college students. We made the best when it came with dealing with maintenance which staff should have helped. Overall I wouldn’t want to stay in Atkins again.
