Stephenson Complex Dorm Reviews at WSU

Stephenson houses a lot of freshmen, so it is a great place to live to meet other people your age as an incoming freshman. It is relatively cheap compared to other dorms. It also has a very nice gym that is well upkept. Only downsides are temperature control, the small size of the room, and the awkwardness of the walls and furniture.

Incoming freshmen at Washington State University (WSU) are required to spend their first year in the dormitories in an attempt to engage them in campus life and create a support group among newcomers. There have been several intimidating events at WSU including homocide and suicide cases, dangerous, sometimes fatal situations within Greek life, robberies, shootings, and reckless driving. Students staying in more expensive receive greater safety procedures within their residence halls. Besides my main concern over safety at WSU and Stephenson Complex specifically, the culture around this dormitory was welcoming and friendly. Seasonal events were a great addition to campus life, and staff was always on top of maintenance and cleaning with a friendly demeanor. The building holds relatively smaller rooms and communal areas with less ammentiest than others, but it is an obviously sufficient living space for at least students' first year in attendance.

I live in the North tower of the Stephenson Complex, it is the newest of the three towers. The cleaning staff I have met are very friendly and work hard to keep up with the tasks of their job. It is a very lively building, a few noise ordinance issues here and there but nothing to really bother or keep you up at night. We live less than a 5 minute walk from the Southside dining center, who's food I don't mind. I enjoy all the amenities I have in the complex without even having to leave the building.

My experience for the time I was there at the Stephenson complex it was interesting for my first time being in a dorm it was nice. My experience was all new to me with being dormed with a random person. The girl I shared a dorm with was nice and we set ground rules and talked and got to know each other. Stephenson is far from everything but besides that the building is nice and I’m glad it does have a gym.

My floor was relatively quiet, which was nice, but the downfall was that it took them two months to fix one of the two elevators. However it was close to a dining hall, but I had to walk up a giant hill to get to most of my classes. There are a lot of pros and cons to this dorm.

Honestly I won't sugar coat, it was quite awful. The girls next door to me were blatantly rude and would be up till 3am even during exam week. They also would bang walls, etc. My mother even made a comment.

Stephenson is a newer dorm. I appreciate the number of community spaces and I also appreciate that you can make the room work for the space that they give you. I also appreciate the number of students that are assigned per floor.

I loved living in the Stephenson Complex. There was a lot of things to get involved in. My favorite part of living there was that the gym was right downstairs. I also really loved that the floors were separated for boys and girls, it made going to take a shower a lot more comfortable.

It was Awesome! We had so many things to do. We were always doing something and never got bored. We also had places to study when we needed them so that we could get work done. This is a place that I would not mind coming back to.

My experience was lively. Sometimes I rushed home from my given extra circulars to hang with my dorm mates! Everyone was super inviting and friendly! I always had someone to go to the dining hall with or study with. I loved that it was co-ed so when I went out I'd always know someone there!

I had a great experience. The dorms were always kept clean and in good shape. The only thing that didnt work sometimes was the elevators and I lived on the 13th floor so that was a pain sometimes. Additionally, the dorm was not on a good spot on campus as it was really far from certain places like greek row and some classes but the walk was still manageable.

It was a good overall experience, just wish that the elevators were more consistent. The RAs and staff were very helpful and knowledgable when asked questioned about the building a where things are located. Very well maintained and kept clean by the staff consistently.

The dorm wasn't that bad to live in. If anything I'd say that it was very frustrating for the bathrooms because there wasn't a private stall to do your business in. You'd have to wait until everyone left to comfortably finish. Other than that, I had no problem living there. There was a marketplace on the ground floor, a gym, and a tutoring center all in the same building. Very convenient to live in and close to a lot of public places you'll want to go, like the Spark or the library or a dining hall. As a plus, everyone was friendly and you'll have no problems making friends here.

I lived here for a year and enjoyed my time in this dorm. I had a corner unit which was very spacious with a walk in closet. There was plenty of space for myself and my roommate and was very clean. A gym was in the building as well as a convenience store, and the nearest dining hall was just across the street.
