Fairhaven Community Dorm Reviews at Washington

Fairhaven is in a beautiful and mostly quiet location. It is located farther away from the majority of campus, but it’s worth it for the surroundings. It is close to the bus line and hiking trails in the arboretum. I definitely recommend living in Fairhaven.

Fairhaven landscape wise is amazing, it’s this little grotto that separates you from school. Unfortunately it is one of the oldest dorms on campus and features rooms so small you can’t even sit on the floor and have no extra space. The bathrooms are ok but when putting 4 people together and only one toilet it gets complicated. These forms are also not accesible to anyone who has mobility issues. You have to climb at least one flight of stairs to get to the first floor usually and there are no elevators.

While I don't live in the fairhaven but from my experience on campus and being able to do walk though of the the example dorm room I think I will be very pleased with the state of the dorm as well as the safety.

It was a general dorm experience that you would imagine. Common area, roommate, hall mates. I never really got to know anyone and never hung out at the dorms. It was a 10 minute walk to red square but nice in the mornings. Overall the community was very loud at all hours of the day and night.

Fairhaven is a great community in general. It's usually not very noisy and has a nice shaded area with a pond and tree. It's pretty quiet on weekends. The commons area feels cozy, perfect for group work or study. The front desk staff are friendly and there're board games that you can check out. The commons also includes a computer lab with a printer.

The fairhaven community is great if you want to be in a studious environment but it's not the best from a social aspect. Overall, my experience in the fairhaven community has not been bad but if i could do it again I'd choose any other building.
