Because of the pandemic I occupied a double alone. There was more than enough space, and the extra bed allowed me to convert one into a lounge area/couch. Other than that, my hall was very quiet and usually not well lit. I think it is because of these factors that it was harder for me to make friends with people on my hall. Other than that I enjoy being in the north quad. more

Skyline Residence Hall

Really nice dorm, but one of the bathrooms on my floor didn't work for a full semester. The windows in each dorm make the rooms feel big and give you a lot of natural light, which I love. It's also one of the few dorms with AC, but you have to wait for the school to turn it on/off anyway. more

Very friendly, my RA really helped my experience. It was difficult starting my time at Brandeis during COVID-19, but the dorm life helped me to adjust to the new school and still have fun despite the restrictions. more

Cable Hall

the single and double dorms are nice, but if you are in a triple, it is not great. The dorms are insanely hot in the summer, especially on the top floors, and there is no AC. There is also no elevator, it's far from most classes, and I haven't seen any yet-- but I've heard there are often rats in the basement in the winter more

Carl and Ruth Shapiro Campus Center

Shapiro is a common freshmen dorm. It is much quieter than all of the other dorms I have been to, however, it is not the most appealing to the eye as the others. The location is good because it is located right next to sherman. more

Rosenthal Quad

This was a great experience. A lot more independence then Freshman traditional housing. I really appreciated having the opportunity to live with friends in suite style living. And maintenance was helpful when we would run into problems. more
