1019 Commonwealth Avenue Dorm Reviews at BU

1019 Commonwealth Avenue exceeded my expectations as a dormitory. Its prime location, well-designed facilities, and strong sense of community makes it an excellent choice for any student venturing on their college journey. My time at 1019 Commonwealth Avenue wasn't just about locating a place to sleep; it was about discovering a home away from home.

My experience at 1019 commonwealth ave was pretty great. My roommate and suite mates were great and we all got along very well. The common area is great for studying or for having a couple of friends over for late night talks and hangouts. It would be nice if the common areas in the suite were bigger and had a couple of more essentials and appliances. Other than that the dorm is great.

Great in terms of someone who wants to be close to Fenway or the city and great for those who want to have a quiet environment to focus on school work. Would recommend those who want to be extreme social butterflies to seek a room in Warren or main West campus buildings.

1019 Commonwealth Avenue is an upgrade from the freshman dorms (Sleeper, Rich, Warren, etc.) at Boston University. It is suite-style with 6 people sharing one bathroom. The number of people sharing the same bathroom is difficult, especially if you all are on the same schedule. The building itself is a little run-down and the laundry rooms were always flooding with water. However, it is close to the dining hall on West Campus, is near the gym, and is around the corner from a ton of good restaurants. The building is also very social so expect to meet a ton of your neighbors!
