Sleeper Hall

It's fine. West Campus has it's ups and downs, but Sleeper isn't bad at all. Being in the same building as the dining hall is very convenient. The bathrooms can be gross but it's largely dependent on each floor. more

East Campus

180 was my first ever college dorm and it was such a great community. There is so much more provided to you in the dorm than all the other on-campus dorms in the university. You have your own kitchen, common area, bathroom in your room, and a washer and dryer. All these are so much more convenient and are so worth the price. Although the walk might be longer than most on-campus dorms, it's honestly not as bad as some people describe it to be. Your experience in the community of the hall just depends on how involved you're willing to be because it does take more effort to meet people because east dorms are more private. more

Bay State Road Brownstones

mostly quiet (depending on your roommate(s)/suitemate(s). Some of the best views of the river and the esplanade. Fairly quiet streets but not too quiet. The streets can be a little dark but overall very nice. more

Clafin Hall

Claflin hall is a great place for a first year experience! West campus is a great community and it’s proximity to Brookline and Allston is extremely convenient! The staff is very friendly and always helps when needed. Bathrooms are cleaned everyday and are decent. more

Myles-Stadish Hall

Very quiet! I got placed into Myles for my first semester, so even though it wasn't my ideal freshmen dorm, because of the lack of other freshmen, it was still a great place to live in. Very quiet, but it is a nice place to live in. more

Kilachand Honors College

Although I was not friends with many of the honors college students, which a majority of the residents were, I enjoyed the quieter and more peaceful dorm experience. It was very close to the best dining hall on campus which I personally think is the best aspect of the dorm. The laundry rooms were nice and I never had an issue with not having an open machine. more

South Campus

South Campus is a two minute walk away from Fenway Park, a twenty minute walk from the heart of Boston and the Boston Commons, a twenty minute walk away from Cambridge, and a twenty minute walk away from Coolidge Corner. Location wise, it doesn't get much better than South campus. I've also always felt safe living in South Campus. more

Very nice compared to my last dormitory. Somewhat far from campus but much closer to Downtown than most of the other dorms. Good safety protocols. Nice amount of storage for recycling. Overall a good experience. more

South Campus Brownstones

My experience in the South Campus Brownstones was relatively good. I lived at 518 Park Dr last spring. The area is quiet and only two suites are on each floor, so if you want to get to know your neighbors, I'd suggest a larger dorm. There was a maintenance issue that required residents of 516-520 Park Drive to go around the back and enter their dorms through the basement of 518 which led to an inconvenient 2 weeks. The common areas were always clean, but the printer only worked once in a while. The distance from campus means getting up a few minutes earlier, but I personally liked that I was a little closer to the Fenway area because there are a lot of things to do around there. more

Student Village II

I loved living here. I always felt safe with the security system in place, with 2 doormen watching every student swipe into the building. I loved having 2 bathrooms in my 8 person suite, with 2 doubles and 4 single rooms. The building was in a great location near the gym, BU shuttle, and dining hall. more

It's a great place to live off-campus with such a diverse culture and at an affordable price. It's divided into so many options with a different type of apartment as per the requirement with a huge parking space for residents as well as for visitors. Facilities like Gym, Sports club, playground for kids and adults and a swimming pool are also available. more

Kilichand Honors College

Old lights and plumbing, but overall peaceful and near marciano commons dining hall so food is easily accessible. It's a bit far from the Fitrec, but close enough to most classes which are in East campus. more
