Clafin Hall Dorm Reviews at BU

Claflin hall is a great place for a first year experience! West campus is a great community and it’s proximity to Brookline and Allston is extremely convenient! The staff is very friendly and always helps when needed. Bathrooms are cleaned everyday and are decent.

Great place to stay if you want a good mix of having students around you on campus while still maintaining a quiet study environment. Very close to dining hall (you don't have to go outside) which is a huge perk!

I lived in Claflin Hall my freshman year and it was great to be surrounded by other freshmen so it was easy to meet and hang out with friends. It is connected to the dining hall which is really convenient. The rooms are nice and provide a lot of storage space between the two dressers and the closet. There are no common rooms on every floor which was not ideal, as the study room in the basement is not very appealing, but there is a new study room right when you enter the dorm which is nicer now. Overall, I think Claflin provided a good first year experience at BU as it allowed me to connect with other first years while also being in the hub of West Campus life being near the soccer field, gym, and Hockey arena.

Claflin was your typical freshman and sophomore dorm. I had both a two bedroom and three bedroom unit when I lived there. Overall the rooms are a good size and the location is perfect with relation to the dining hall. Perfect spot if you are a BU athlete.
