College of the Ozarks Dorm Reviews

Mabee Residence Hall has a set up and environment that allows for quick connections and friendships to be made. While the hallways do echo slightly, the rooms are sufficiently quiet and perfect for studying. The rooms are each connected to one other room by a jack and jill bathroom. This allows for more community and opportunities to build respect for other's space and cleanliness. Mabee places high expectations on room checks which ensures that your living environment will be healthy and tidy. I recommend this living facility as it is most efficient and welcoming. more

Mold was growing in the dorms, and it was an unhealthy environment for the women living in that dorm. The dorms got too hot or too cold quite often and there was nothing we could do about it and we were always getting sick. more

When I arrived at Youngman on move-in day, there were upper classman there to greet me, show me around, and help carry things up three flights of stairs. They were friendly and very helpful in answering my questions. The room was very clean and spacious. There is plenty of storage space in the closet and the bunk bed is tall enough to store items under the bed as well. There are two large desk spaces and a very nice sized window with a beautiful view of the chapel and other features of the C of O campus. Communal bathrooms are centrally located on each floor and there is a shared kitchen area with a refrigerator, microwave, and stove. The commons area on the first floor has great seating where friends can meet to socialize or study. Given that Youngman is one of the oldest dorms on campus, I am quite impressed with the upkeep and how modern it feels on the interior. more

The building itself is pretty old. The paint likes to peel. The AC units like to leak, but I have yet to have a problem with that. The people are great though, and I have not had any problems with noise. more

The room was good size, the dorms were older but in better shape than the college my brother goes to. I only had to share a bathroom with 3 others. So all in all, not bad. At first from the outside I was a little apprehensive, but once I ventured inside all my fears were laid to rest. The floors in the entry actually shined. more

Lively Hall is a new dorm on campus. I am very satisfied with it! Every room has beautiful hard floors (rather than the carpet in my last dorm), huge showers, and plenty of common spaces to hand out with friends. I am very happy with the newly built Lively Hall! more
