Polkinghorne Village Dorm Reviews at Florida A&M

I enjoy living in Polkinghorne Village. I’m in the LLC, and I love how they set us up where we get to live and become friends with people who are in our major. They set us up to where all the LLC people also have most of their classes together.

My experience at Polkinghorne Village has been really good. I have stayed in Village for both summer and fall. The staff are amazing, and they put together many events for us to have fun during our stay. I have had no complaints since I been here.

I stayed in Village during the summer term, so the noise wasn't bad. It's located right next to the student center, which is easy access to most of your needs, such as food (the cafe and food court), the bookstore, and the business center (where your packages will be delivered).

Staying in Polkinghorne Village was my best decision. With this being one of the newer dorms, everything is updated. It wasn't a far distance from class and right next to the dining hall. Also, the RAs and staff were amazing!

My experience was great. From staff to the students, the Village was a comfortable space for me to reside! I am so happy that I was able to experience such a dorm. It was so nice, at times I forgot that I was in a dorm!

Well I've only been here 3 1/2 weeks but as a whole I really enjoy staying here and will be staying here again next semester. Everyone that stays here is friendly and its easy to make conversation with. I especially love how you have your own room but still get the experience of a suitemate which is like a roommate but with a different room and you share common area of a bathroom.

My experience at Polkinghorne Village is actually good. Being on campus during the pandemic raises a lot of concerns, but staying in this dorm made campus feel a little more safer. This dorm is right in front of the football field for easy access to the stadium. Also the cafeteria is right next to the dorms for a quick walk for food.

Living in Village was a great experience because I was around other freshmen.this allowed me to not feel like an outcast and also meet friends in my class. It was in a good location for the things around campus, and I enjoyed having my own room.

I have only been in the dorm for a semester and I really enjoy being there. Everyone there is really friendly and it is a easy way to make friends at the school. I've had a really good experience so far and would recommend this dorm to everyone.

I spent my Fall semester at Village and I will be returning for Spring. I love living in Village, especially being in Famu's LLC program which allowed me to be on the same floor and roomed with people with my same major. Everything is always clean and nicely decorated and the RA's do a great job with enforcing quiet hours and other safety rules.

My experience at Polkinghorne Village was very exciting. I enjoy my stay from the summer to fall to the spring semester of my 2018 sophomore year. I have so many memories I will never forget. The location was perfect because it’s right next to the cafeteria and bookstore. The parking was awesome as well. I really was thrilled that my parents gave me the opportunity to stay on campus, especially in Polkinghorne Village.

It’s a pretty cool place to learn independence. You get your own room space and privacy. I didn’t have a roommate in the Fall, but in the Spring I will. I am excited to be able to meet new people who are learning to be independent just like me.

I've had a lot of fun and their the only singles on campus besides the apartments. You're able to just go downstairs and see your friends. The elevators barely work but they get fixed. Overall the experience is great.

So far, after only being here for a good 3 months, it has been very nice. It's tranquil during during the day because you know every one is either out or in classes, and towards the afternoon It's like a community that gets lit. Not partying but we as neighbors communicate with each other and get to know one another. You have a roomate but your own room. You only share the communal area like the bathroom. I love it here.
