Onondaga Hall Dorm Reviews at SUNY Geneseo

Onondaga Hall, aka "Dirty Daga", is the true freshman experience at Geneseo. It's loud, there's always people walking around, and there's no real "good" place to be. It's a disgusting dorm- the bathrooms are horrific, there's almost always bugs, and half the time something is falling apart (it is an old building). It's on south side which is where all the freshman are mostly, but it's a hike to get anywhere. You are right next to RJ dining hall which is nice, but otherwise you are pretty isolated. I chose it for the freshman experience, but regretted it about a month in.

Onondaga Hall is the party dorm of the campus. It is also the largest dorm by far, there is usually always something going on there. It has not been updated in over 25 years and could overall use a renovation.

This was my favorite residence hall experience on campus. This is a suite-style building with 10 floors. Each suite had a common area, bathroom, and three bedrooms. I was lucky to get a corner room in the fishbowl lounge. It was so easy to access so many of my friends, but each suite felt like your own private home. It was easy to stay connected, but also get away. It is on the more popular side of campus with more people.

It was a really old residence hall and there were ants which was gross and other bugs sometimes got in. The bathrooms were old and kind of gross. The staff and the people there are really nice. The only kitchen space was in the basement and the only laundry was in the basement as well.
