Kirkpatrick Dorm Reviews at GVSU

It has been really nice, I have met a lot of lifelong friends. Kirkpatrick is pretty quick to respond to issues that we have had concerning the bathroom and other maintenance issues. We also have access to filtered water and an extra kitchen if needed.

COVID situations were not dealt with well. CDC guidelines were not followed with isolation, which put a lot of strain on me and my suitemates. Staff were not educated on what to do for students who had COVID positive results.

My experience at Kirkpatrick living center was awesome. I met a lot of new people that i believe will be life long friendships. My RA was super cool and nice also! The only downfall was that it was so far away from all my classes.

Not too impressed with how they have handled the COVID crisis in our dorm. A suitemate was COVID positive and was allowed to stay in the dorm a week before he was quarantined. This put myself and others at risk. I felt the RA's and housing staff should have been more educated and knowledgeable about the correct process and how to address this safety concern.
