District House Dorm Reviews at GWU

I live in an affinity space in district house as a transfer and I truly think it is the best dorm situation I could have had this year. The only issues I have experienced are with my floor personally and their cleanliness, but district as a whole is a really great dorm.

it is in the center of campus, very clean and spacious. Housing gets better (and more expensive) each year but this building is particularly nice. Love being near food places, without having to interact with the outdoors. Its quite pricey but understandable with the level of newness and space. Shelfing and storage is okay in the rooms, neutrals, white, and plain color scheme. There is a dishwater. Plan for elevator ride before classes, it just full quick and will be waiting for elevators for a bit in the mornings especially.

A safe, comfortable place to live. It was very convenient to have a full kitchen and furniture. The mattress was comfortable. Staff weren't usually available. Convenient location. Food court in basement was wonderful.

Overall positive experience, it is in a very good central location and the rooms are nice. Being directly above several good and popular restaurants is also nice. Also there were weekly events to get free food if you so desired. The big downside is fire alarms all the time, sometimes several a week, sometimes very early in the morning. Otherwise a nice dorm to live in.

District House is probably the best location GW dorms have to offer. You have a variety of restaurants underneath on top of study rooms that you can enter without leaving the building. The rooms are very spacious and very clean.
