Goodnow Hall Dorm Reviews at K-State

I originally stayed in Marlatt Hall for my freshman year, and then Goodnow for my sophomore year and current junior year. Goodnow Hall has left me pleasantly surprised. People and the RAs are nice and the community is nice.

It's what you make out of it social wise; there are activities to do, friends to make, but you have to do go out there and get it. Other than that, it's also what you pay for. It was a community with or without COVID.

Goodnow Hall is a step up from Marlatt Hall, but for the same price which I love. The floors and hallways are redone, so no more gross tile. It is decently nice for a small, but cozy little room. No real complaints.

Overall, I enjoyed my experience in Goodnow Hall. The hall was very close to campus, the rec center, and the football field. The only downside in location would be how far away the hall was from the parking lots. Most students in the on-campus dorms qualify for an "R" Parking Pass, however, the closest lot that corresponds to the "R" Parking Pass is on the opposite side of campus. Therefore, whenever you would like to drive to get some food, or go grocery shopping, you should account for about a half a mile walk. While this may not sound extremely far, this distance seems much longer when carrying groceries back to the dorm, or any bags at all. Other than the parking lot, Goodnow Hall is a great dorm. Friendly staff, excellent safety, and very well maintained.

Amazing! everyone is so friendly and everything in the dorm slowed naturally I didn't even feel out of sorts when moving from home! 10/10 recommend to anybody who is worried about being homesick when going to college!
