McElroy Hall Dorm Reviews at MSU

I lived in McElroy G hall my freshman year, and it was a great place to expierience to the transition to college. I didn’t have air conditioning, so that was difficult at times. However, I made many memories and there was a great sense of community in the McElroy dorms.

Hot during the warmer seasons due to no air conditioning. Otherwise it is fairly decent and if you get too hot, you can go to the commons and cool off. The staff are all super nice and provide a warm, welcoming smile.

It was during covid so i was hoping they would take better care of the place but not much changed . janitors are super nice. Theres nothing you can really do if people are being loud especialy sense you are surounded. unless youre lucky.

They remodeled the interior and added AC to each room. It's a perfect living situation with maximum cleanliness and help. The nice thing was that the door automatically locked behind you, for safety reasons, I really liked this.

I have really enjoyed living in McElory Hall both my freshman and my sophomore years of college. I think it is a great option for students because of the staff, the location on campus and the various events that they put on for students.

It honestly depends on who is on your floor, the people make the floor what it is not the other way around, laundry in the basement does fill fast due to F&E sharing good for McElroy though, twice the people twice the fun. Can get loud but then again it depends on the people comes, HAS AC so plus side over most of G hall

It's just your standard residence hall. Nothing special but nothing bad. The community bathrooms can sometimes not be great since not everyone is the cleanest individual. However it is a much more affordable method of living and worth it for the time at college.
