Compared to the freshman dorms, they are considered better, but the dorm still had its problems. The washer and dryer on each floor was constalty breaking down. Clothes would smell like mold after other residents who chose to leave their clothing in for weeks. Residents constantly played music late at night and made the dorms in the back smell like weed. You also have residents who used their scooters in the dorm, which was a safety hazard. Residents who didn't feel like pulling out their key card would yank the door open to get inside, causing the door to shatter, but they still yanked it after it was fixed. This was a huge safety hazard because strangers who saw that would try it themselves and harass others. Dorm is located on the outer part of campus, not inside, compared to honors dorms, so for events on campus you had to walk from your dorm or feel like you were missing out on a "college experience". The dorm also had roach problem which was very disgusting. The dorm also had mold inside, which isn't safe for living conditions. Lastly, the elevators broke down as well, and the dorm definitely needs an upgrade, which I am sure can be afforded since the school decided to build a new, improved dorm.
