Stevenson Towers Dorm Reviews at NIU

Overall, It's a pretty nice and comfortable place to live in. Besides worrying about the supper high cost, I can peacefully do my homework in my room or in the lounge area because both are clean. I wish there were more vending machine options. The area is also great weather wise. If outside is too hot or cold the maintenance staff does a great job of putting the A.C. on or turning it off depends on what outside feels like.

My first year attending Northern Illinois University I stayed in Stevenson Towers. I lived on a higher floor and more towards where the common areas were, so there weren't a lot of noise complaints at least where I was located. For those who lived more towards the back near the stairs, had a lot more noise complaints as those were where the suites were located.

I enjoyed living in Stevenson Tower D. It was relatively clean most of the time and the staff ensured that it was especially during a global pandemic. The room had a very nice view of the nearby lagoon and wooded area and the amenities were nice.

Stevenson is one of the most well known places and connects the school and the students so well. There is so much in store for you if you're living there and usually, you'll find more students actually prefer it.

While I was there, I loved it. It was far enough away, but had the Husky Bus available when I needed to get to classes. It is close to the football stadium and parking. The floors are laid out nice in a triangular shape, so you don't have a long way to walk to get to any room from the elevator. The dining hall was big and spacious.
