Gibson Dorm Reviews at RIT

Staying at Carlson Gibson hall was overall a good experience. It is close to 2 Commons and Sol's Underground, making for a good location. The residents tend to be a bit quiet but friendly, and the building is usually very clean.

Pretty standard college dorm situation, you'll get used to it but also over it quickly. I did my first year there and don't regret anything. I'm living off campus now and although not sharing rooms and utilities is nice, I miss being so close.

Very quiet most of the time, it is convenient having a sink in the room. Right in the center of campus, it is great for walking to class. It is, however, harder to get off campus as much unless you have a good parking pass.

It is pretty good, I'm usually not in my dorm during the day. I head to my dorm after dinner and it is my space to relax. The floor that I would live in was pretty quiet, and of course we are in different circumstances, so the environment is different. I don't mind it being it quiet though especially at night. One good thing about Gibson is that there is an elevator, which is pretty useful if you live in the 3rd- 5th floor.
