Swig Hall Dorm Reviews at Santa Clara

I loved living in Swig. It was definitely the most noisy of all the dorm options, but as a new student who wanted to make friends, it was perfect. I loved that there were 9 floors of students who all wanted to make friends and be social. It was never a boring moment. I would not have traded my experience for anything. Even hearing "Wake up swig!!!" at 3am brought a smile to my face, as I knew it was all in good fun. I loved flying into the San Jose airport and seeing the building rising above all the others around it as we touched down.

Super fun freshmen housing, but a rowdy, noisy dorm. Know what you're heading into and what you're looking for! Would not recommend living there beyond first year. Living there as a sophomore too was miserable.

Swig was typical loud first-year dorm. Making friends was easy, and SCU organized the classes so that many of the people on your floor were in the same C&I/CTW. Swig was fun, but not great for studying.
