Hines Hall Dorm Reviews at Siena

Everyone is very friendly and mindful of others who are in the dorm. On occasion there would be someone being loud. There is a floor where you can study or hangout with friends which is usually quiet.

I really enjoy living in Hines because it is the only freshman dorm at Siena that has sinks in the rooms. I think the rooms are a bit small but it is manageable. The building is very hot 24/7 all year so definitely need a fan. There is good storage space.

Overall a solid dorm. There are many common areas both in the open and a bit secluded which fulfill any needs. The staff and RAs are friendly and helpful, and Hines has far more resources in it (Public safety, IT, SCRI) in it than other dorms

It is the perfect place to live for first year students. Compared to other first year dorms, Hines has a bunch of open space that makes everything feel much bigger. The location of Hines is great because it is the first dorm you see when you enter campus, parking is never an issue, and it located near various other parts of campus.

Hines hall is a great place to live with convenient access to computer labs when libraries are closed and IT when you have a technological issue. It is also very comforting to be in the same building as public safety. Overall experience, besides some maintenance issues, has been very good.

I am a current freshman residing in Hines hall. I line in a room that was supposed to be for four but due to covid-19, only two people can live there. My case is unlike any other, according to all upperclassmen, I am the first-ever freshman in Siena college to have a quad all to herself. I had my own (huge) room to myself for the whole first semester and honestly, I wouldn't want it any other way.

Rooms are good compared to other colleges, and it's a sweet deal compared to Plassmann or Ryan Hall. The ceilings are tall and I lofted my bed to take advantage of the vertical space. The sink is to die for as long as you clean your dishes and don't let them pile up!
