Ammann college Dorm Reviews at Stony Brook

I was a resident for my entire first year, and left when the corona virus shut down the school. I enjoyed my time there for the most part, the RA's were cool, the staff were nice, the cleaning crew ladies came the same time and kept our bathrooms looking great considering it accommodated like 50 people. My only problems had to do this my terrible roommate, and the lack of access to a vacuum for the inside of my room. Someone broke it, and the staff/university never replaced it, so that was annoying. Some of the girls were also kind of gross about things left in showers and manners but thats people not so much the dorms.

My overall experience at Ammann college was very eye opening. I got a glimpse of what it means to be independent. The facility itself was very well located since its close to the dining hall, classrooms and many other locations which made it easy for me to go around campus fast. However, what I liked the most was how helpful and committed the RA's were. They were constantly checking up us to see if we were settling good and giving us information about the different events and opportunities that the campus offered. It was sweet and attentive how they would organize mini events in our common rooms in order to gives us a small getaway from the load work that we would have specially during exams seasons. I'am very pleased to say that my experience at Ammann college was very eye opening and pleasant. It was an experience that gave me a glimpse of what life outside our parents house looks like and it prepared me to what's ahead.
