Greeley College Dorm Reviews at Stony Brook

My Experience at Greeley College is great because of the people there, but if the people there were not as nice as they are, I would perceive the dorm area as the equivalent of living in a run-down motel. They have frequent roach and cricket problems, the couches in the lobby are gross, and they don't clean the showers that much.

Heating system but no air conditioning(bring your own fan). If you live on the bottom floor, there will be insects that find their way into hallways and occasionally your room but other than that you don't really have to worry much about pests. The Parking lots are located right next to Greeley and Greeley is right next to the Building with the mailroom. The windows are small but they are big enough that they illuminate most of the room.

Greeley is honestly alright, a good dorm for a freshman, but only for freshman. The location is close to a dining hall, which is very useful, however safety isn't very enforced and it is pretty empty too.

My first ever college dorm was in Greeley. I can safely say, I had a true college dorm room experience when I lived there. I was placed in a triple, which meant I was in a room with 2 other roommates. This often times caused many disputes and fights. We also lived corridor style, which meant we shared a bathroom with the entire floor. Often times the bathrooms would be very dirty and jammed up. But, the experience of living in these conditions really makes you grateful for how well the college is compared to other living situations.

Greeley College wasn't the best-looking or most well-maintained dorm at Stony Brook. However, I met and encountered a lot of interesting people there. I also liked the RAs at Greeley College. They hosted fun events and programs that created an inclusive and welcoming environment. The people I met are some of my closest friends today. I had made incredible memories with them at Greeley and beyond.
