Langmuir College Dorm Reviews at Stony Brook

Langmuir college has been an pretty decent experience. The staff is nice and has pretty large rooms. Although the bathrooms could be cleaner and the common areas a little bit better well kept, it is an enjoyable experience. No major complaints here!

My favorite part about living in this building is that it is close to the recreation and wellness center. The rooms are good for doubles, but the same cannot be said for triples. Compared to some of the other corridor style housing options, the bathrooms are very good. However, the suite-style options on campus are still much better.

It was a such a great experience as a freshman. The people you meet there are so friendly, especially the ones you meet in hall council. There was no reason to feel left out because there was always someone willing to become your friend. I had a lot of good memories there.

Langmuir is great for studying especially if you're taking hard classes that semester. It is close to East Side Dinning. The only thing about the lounge where you would study is extremely lonely looking. There's usually has two identical sofa and a couple identical desks, between the desks are black dividers. The garbage can is always empty with a clear trash bag and is no art on the wall. Sometimes I get distracted by how lonely it is, but besides that the main lounge which is on the first floor is quite lively.
