Watson Hall Dorm Reviews at Syracuse

I enjoy the location and the rooms are nice. New bathrooms too but some are hardly cleaned. The floors are much less social than previous year dorms however. Many different formats of rooms and options from 1-6 people per dorm.

Good and not bad it was a quiet hall to be able to get school work done and be able to be a productive adult trying to get my degree. I would recommend many people to attend or live in the we know as Watson.

Watson Hall was located on the far end of campus, away from all of the buildings that the classes were in and away from the dining hall. I know now that they have a place to get food on-campus nearby, but I don't know how good it is. If you live in Watson Hall you'll be closer to a lot of off-campus stuff, like Starbucks, Subway, McDonalds, and the Dollar Store being nearby, but you'll be further away from the campus where events are going to be held and stuff that you'll need to go to almost daily.

Freshman year but it is what it is. Nothing to compare to. I've enjoyed college life thus far. Ready to start and finish the Spring semester. This has been a crazy last year but I know that things will get better sooner than later.

I was happy to live in Watson because of the location. It is in a great area where students can have easy access to the most popular spots on campus. It was great to have the courtyard in the middle of the dorm, but I would have enjoyed common places on each of the floors.

It was a new experience as I’ve never formed before. It was a bit too small for me and felt I had no privacy. My roommates were great, made a lot of new memories and enjoyed their company. There wasn’t many showers or laundry’s so we had to wait at times to shower or wash.

Although my experience in Watson was different due to COVID, I think the communication between the Resident Director and the people on the floor was very good. Watson is very nicely located and although I wasn't able to bond with a lot of people on my floor the same way, there were no issues.

My experience at Watson was one i will never forget. The students whom worked there we’re absolutely amazing. They were always ready to lend an extra hand when you needed it and always willing to take an extra step in getting to know you. I personally became very close to the staff of Watson hall. We would always try to engage in group activities with some of the other students living in our dorm building. There was a little cafe in our dorm, worked by the sweetest lady. One particular time some of Watson’s residents were gathered around our common area. One of the men worked bought us all smoothies from the cafe as an act of kindness. And it didn’t stop there, he even tipped the lady working 50% of the total cost. I’ll never forget Watson Hall.
