Texas A&M Dorm Reviews

I really enjoy living in White Creek Apartments. I chose a 2-bedroom apartment, and it has been a great experience for the past 3 years. We have our own living room and a full kitchen. I enjoy cooking, so having a kitchen is something I'm truly grateful for. Additionally, having a washer and dryer in the apartment is very convenient. In the three years I've been here, we've had to call maintenance twice, and both times they responded very quickly. more

I have lived in Rudder for a little over a year now and I can honestly say I have fallen in love with the hall. It's quiet most of the time and the RA's are amazing. I recommend this hall to so many people because of how clean and welcoming the residents are. Everyone works hard to get to know each other but also respects each other by being courteous and understanding. The building is also made very well, I love that there is a kitchen for everyone to use, as well as a TV lounge. It gives us a place to get to know people in the hall and to relax with our friends. Rudder will always be my favorite hall and I would gladly stay here for the rest of my undergrad years. more

Rooms are a good size, way bigger than I expected, they don't feel crowded at all. You have plenty of space for your stuff and to decorate. The bathrooms are very good and clean. Many closets are available, 6 in total. If you are an Animal Science major this hall is the best one; the hall is 5 minutes away from the animal science buildings. It is also very close to a cafeteria, Starbucks, convenience store, and other restaurants. I was in the first floor, and I recommend it. The first floor was quiet and that is where the laundry room is located so you don't have to carry your clothes for a long time. A custodian came every week to clean your bathroom which was great.Overall, it was way better than I expected for my first dorm and was great experience. more

Since it’s an all girls dorm, everyone is super nice and easy to talk to. There’s white boards next to your dorm door, so a lot of girls like to put questions or polls that everyone else can answer. In the beginning there was visitation hours, but we ended up taking a vote all a hall and it turned into 24 hour visitations. The only thing I could say is that there’s a bunch of dust everywhere. You can try and clean it but it’ll come back super fast. more

The dorm is very inviting. I'm part of the living and learning community for engineering. It's nice to really be with people like myself. The dorm rooms are nice. The sweet style allows me to only share a bathroom with four and University includes maid service for the bathrooms. more

McFadden Hall, while a bit of a pricier hall, has plentiful space for you and your roommate. The mirrors are big and everything in it is functional. Having two sets of closets for each person is also very beneficial and the space makes it easier to keep tidy. McFadden Hall also has a nice kitchen area with a table where you and a group can sit. It also has a lounge on the second floor that is available to residents. The custodial staff at McFadden are also very friendly and I say hello to them whenever I pass by. Though I have not actively accessed these rooms much because of COVID, it is very beneficial to have and was the reason I chose to live there for my freshman year! more

My time at Mosher has been limited due to covid restrictions, but I still have loved every minute of it. All of my roommates are super nice and we all get along very well, while my RA has been very accessible and resourceful. more

Wasn't a bad place to live. Was obviously loud due to the amount of freshmen living there. However, it was close to most everything and stayed clean. Overall, I would still recommend this hall to someone looking to live on campus. more

I enjoyed living on campus in a modular style dorm at Texas A&M. Yes, the space is small, but it is something you get used to. Having a good roommate is also a plus! Neeley Hall is a Northside dorm, so it is close to central campus, which is where most freshman classes are located. more

It was a good experience considering the price for the semester. The dorm opens to the outside, so there is a bit of noise. Additionally, the bathrooms are dated and do not look inviting. Staying here in a single is cheaper than other dorms with a roommate, so it was worth it. more

The area is lovely! The MSC and Sbisa Dining Hall are nearby, and there is a bus stop less than a minute away that almost every bus route stops at! The staff is so friendly and willing to host so many events in the basement to encourage a friendly and warm environment for all the residents. There is always free food too! Regarding cleanliness, t the toilets and sinks are always clean but the showers can be a hit or miss. I would suggest going right after they are cleaned by the janitor to ensure the best environment when showering! :) more

I lived in Hullabaloo Hall during my sophomore year of college and while I did not have my own room, the bathroom and front walkway were cleaned every week and any maintenance requests that we had submitted were fixed in a timely manner. Because the dorm is right next to Wellborne road and the train tracks, the train comes by often throughout the day and can be pretty loud when blaring the horn. more

The only thing I really didn't like about living at Keathley was the location to Northgate. Drunk people will sometimes wander over and then try the doors looking for something that is open. My room was on the first floor so this happened frequently. more

We are forced to live in the corps halls, being forced to do anything makes it less enjoyable. That being said, I can walk down. the hall to some of my best friends at any point of the week and talk, hangout, ask for help etc. more

I was put into Moses hall bc I had applied pretty late for housing at TAMU but it was arguably the best decision for me! Although I was not very happy about the community style restrooms it was the easiest and most convenient choice. I did not have to worry about coordinating shower times or restroom times with anyone else. Did not have to worry about bringing hand soap or toilet paper. I could come and go at my convivence, my other friends who shared restrooms with other dorms would have issues in terms of who brought toilet paper and hand soap, who was messy and why the shower was stocked, and most importantly would become late bc sometimes their suitemates forgot to unlock the door and even sometimes male guests would become and issue. I cannot advocate for community style restrooms enough, TAMU had them cleaned 2x a day and they were never busy bc they're 2 in each hallway and require card access so only females in the hall can access them. In college its all about convenience and this restroom style made my life sooo much easier I could not be more happy. The room themselves have a sink counter so we could have the privacy of brushing out teeth inside and both had our own spacey closet. The room size was pretty small but we kept it tidy and ultimately that lead to me and roommate developing a great relationship bc we didn't have to argue about being messy. Being in college you send close to zero time in your dorm you are always studying or out with friends so you really just come in to nap between classes and sleep. Not only is it one of the most affordable dorm on campus but the location is great! It is located right in front of hullaballoo so you can use their amenities, the Starbucks is right in front of the dorm and the dining hall is right across the parking lot. They do a study lounge and study room which I did use but with all the study locations on campus you'll be opting to go else where, but for late nights or when u just want to leave ur dorm is perfect! Not only that but it is also located right in front of Northgate so on a night out there is no need to uber or to take a long walk back to your dorm in the dark after a night out. If you are looking for an affordable and convenient dorm on campus I HIGHLY recommend this dorm. Do keep in mind it is one of the least popular (due to community style restroom) but northside is so popular so this is the last to fill on northside. I could not say enough nice things about this dorm, convenience and affordable are the most important things in college and this dorm checks off both! I wouldn't overthink my dorm choice as a student I can testify you don't spend much time there and its ends up being a good thing bc spending more time out of your dorm just means more people you meet and more relationships and friends you make! I really cant say I had a bad experience or anything I particularly didn't like, come to college with an open mind it truly is what you make of it and the convince of Moses hall added GREATLY to having a successful first year. Getting into a popular dorm shouldn't be your point of interest, or seem to "ruin" your first year, in the long run your friendships and involvements make your experience. So put yourself out there and remember everyone is on the same boat as in new to town and looking to make friends! more

Davis-Gary has single rooms, which is nice because you don't have to worry about roommates and you get more space, but it can be lonely. It is one of the only dorms on campus that still has communal bathrooms, so just make sure to wear shower shoes. The dorm is small, all-girl, and very quiet making it feel comfortable and safe. The location is perfect, on north campus directly next to a parking lot, Hullabaloo Hall, and Starbucks. Walking distance to central campus and Sbisa Dining Hall. Only downside is the close proximity to the railroad tracks. more

It was very quiet and people mostly kept to themselves. If you don't want to leave your room you don't have to but if you want to make friends with the people on your floor, they are very inviting. The location was amazing since it was a 2 minute walk from the dining hall and it being in central campus made it very easy to go to both sides of campus. more

The Traditions is in a good location but not run so great by the staff. The staff is young and many college students who don't always give the best answers. When I had a printing problem with the printer having low ink, they got that resolved but never mentioned that I needed to provide my own paper. I had to discover this on my next printing. more

one of the better options on campus. A little more expensive but close to all classes and has better amenities than other choices at Galveston. bath was within the suite which also included common area and two bedrooms shared among 4 students. more

Amazing dorm experience. Private pool and outdoor kitchen are just a few of the amenities this dorm offers. The staff and rooms are the best. I couldn't imagine living anywhere else. Security and the front desk are always on site. more
