LeTourneau Hall Dorm Reviews at Toccoa Falls College

I love the community, but the bathrooms and cleanliness is disgusting. The water from the sinks is brown and is not safe to drink. The bathrooms are also poorly stocked on essentials like toilet paper. Although, there are some problems the RAs are very sweet.

Originally Leatournea wasn't the dorm I had applied for, but I ended up getting it anyway. The room is quite small furnished with a bed, desk with shelving, a dresser, closet, and a quite outdated and rusted sink. The walls are cement so it gets quite cold in there, and the AC unit it very smelly. To describe how the dorm rooms and common area are set up it is very much like a jail. There are two levels with a big open middle and the dorms surrounding it in a square. There are three bathrooms on the top floor that contain two toilets, two showers, and a sink. The stalls are small and your knees hit the door. The showers are rusted and old with very little water pressure, and the sink barely works. There is also one laundry room on the top floor with two washers and two dryers. For the almost two months I have been at this dorm already only one washer has worked at a time. Finding time to do laundry has been very hard. I often find myself doing it at 1 in the morning since no one else does it then. The location of my dorm is almost perfect though. It's considered to be almost directly in the middle which makes almost everywhere on campus an easy walk. My living conditions could be worse, but there are lots of things that could be better.

The dorm has become a home away from home. From the cozy common areas to the comfortable bedrooms, the hall has provided a welcoming and supportive environment that has helped me adjust to college life. I've formed close relationships with my hallmates and the community has helped me to feel connected and supported during my time at college.
