I lived in Crawford for 4 1/2 years. It definitely has its problems- not super quiet, not always clean, very old, and the AC is awful whenever the temperature is changing from hot to cold or cold to hot- but I really loved living there. It is located right beside the Quad at TTU, which is a great place to go jogging. It is right across the street from a super cute cafe and taco shop. You do have to share bathrooms, but I honestly didn't mind. Sometimes, people would leave their laundry in the laundry room, and there would be a bit of a backlog, but the RAs would always do their best to monitor it. I would definitely live there again if I could do undergrad all over again.

I really enjoyed living in Crawford Women's Village due to its location right next to the quad on campus. Instead of walking out the door and into a parking lot like many of the other res halls, you walk out onto a nice walking track with trees and grass. It is also right next door to a super cute coffee shop. I would not have wanted to live in a different residential hall. It is an old building, and that fact is obvious in some areas, but it isn't run down at all. The AC was annoying because you couldn't manually adjust the temperature in each individual room. The hall director would have to ask a maintenance person come out and change the temperature to hot/cold. This was really annoying in the Tennessee weather where it could be super cold one day and super hot the next. There were rumors that the hall would be renovated soon. It was a bit loud, and people wouldn't always respect quiet hours, but it wasn't bad. Sometimes, people would be annoying and leave their laundry in the machines in the shared laundry room, but the RAs always did their best to prevent that. I didn't mind sharing a bathroom with multiple other women, for everyone was clean for the most part, and I never had to wait for a shower. It was a home to me for many years.

All residents were placed in the Crawford Women's Village because construction on our original dorm isn't done. Obviously, that's a bummer because this is the only dorm on campus that isn't renovated, but it's genuinely a great building. The showers are nice and the beds aren't too uncomfortable.
