Urban Academic Village Dorm Reviews at Texas Southern

It was a ok experience with just wish that maintenance would be on their toes when residents want something done. Or when they ask multiple times and it does not get done it is annoying. If people can pick up after their selves outside of the are that would be nice. Overall I appreciate the emails I get and always getting updates on what is happening in the are of urban academic village.

Urban Academic village is in a good location because it’s near the campus but, without transportation it’s not a safe location to be walking. The staff is vocal and are attentive when needed be but, it takes a few request before they handle what needs to be done. Also, due to COVID there is no visitation, that was not stated in the lease so it makes it difficult to have company over.

My experience at Urban Acadeic Village was awful. The students that they employ are horrible. They did not solve maintaince issues in a timely manner. The staff has been rude to their residents on multiple occasions. The buildings are overrun with rodents and roaches and there is mold growing on the walls.

I do not like my experience for my air keeps going out, it got stains in my carpet, and having to worry about spraying roaches,ants to keep them out it just dont look up to part like I needs to be here.
