Murdough Hall

I had a pretty good experience in Murdough. My community advisor was amazing and made sure anything that happened was taken care of quickly. They also cleaned the bathrooms every day except the weekends and the majority of the time it was quiet in the halls. more

Wall Hall

I had a lot of fun when I lived there however the fire alarm checks can be annoying at 3am and the water did get shut off a few times while I was there and that was miserable and lasted a couple days but the CA’s are cool for the most part. more

Love that we have our own rooms. It's not quite apartment living, but it's the best option for freshmen at Tech. I share a bathroom with one roommate and the common area with three roommates. Living with people you don't know is a little weird, but I have my own space in this dorm. more

Weymouth

Although Weymouth was not one of the top-tier dorms found at my college, it still provided the help and safety, any student searches for. As a freshman who never experienced a dorm life, I was thrilled with the time I spent. I believe any college student should have the chance to live in a dorm to experience the excitement of living on your own with new people around you. I have met some of the best people in my life while living at the dorms and I'm sure everyone else can too. It can be messy and dirty at times but I think that's what creates the beauty of it. more

My experience at the Coleman dorms was nice. My roommate and I got along and had a friendly relationship. The bathroom was clean most of the time, the staff was nice, and the location of the dorms was the nicest part. Very close to the stadium and good dining halls. One of the better dorms on campus. more

Stangel

Stangel is at the core of campus. Everything was only 10 minutes walking distance or less to the building. Everyone has their own parking space (first come first serve) even if you get your car halfway through the year like me. The parking is right in front of the building therefore you are not parked across the street. The Market, the dining hall connected to it, is 50% off for students and has great options. The bathrooms were cleaned regularly and were sparkly clean. You have to scan once to get into the main area of the building for the dinning hall and once again to get into Stangel and only residence can scan in therefore it was very safe. We practiced fire drills throughout the year too. The staff in the basement is very helpful if you locked yourself out of your room and will loan one out to get back into your room. more

West Village

It is pretty good. The rooms are nice, however the bathrooms and kitchens could be better for the price that is paid for them. Somethings in the dorms need to be replace, but they just do temporary fix-its. No common areas. Very far from the rest of campus; some of my classes are 30 minutes away. more

Chitwood

My time at Chitwood was interesting to say the least although i'm sure everyone at some point in their college careers had interesting experiences. I met some of my best friends in Chitwood and even moved into an apartment with them. We had a lot of fun and wasn't ever really too noisy. The style of the dorms are quite interesting with the colors but at the same time its college so it wasn't a big deal. I loved living in Chitwood for 2 years and made some great memories there and recommend it to anyone that is interested. Amazing people and staff and overall a great experience. more

Gordon Hall is a great dorm for socialization and meeting new people. The maintenance team was surprisingly fast and responded quick to any of our needs. Issues at Gordon Hall pertained to the staffing of RA's, which doesn't fall on the specific building. The location is perfect for first year students taking classes out of the key, and is overall very close to any first year needs. more

Newly renovated and clean! This dorm is probably one of the best on campus. I stayed in Horn/Knapp during orientation and the comparison is night and day! The bathrooms are clean most of the time and the study room and common area are very nice! more

Hulen Hall

Good so far. Would appreciate if the rod and curtains are provided in the room. Storage is of good amount. Air conditioning is a bit old and can be improved upon. Move in experience was good. We could use the time slot as assigned and got the trolly to move the stuff. more

My experience here was amazing! There's a dining hall within the building so it's super convenient (especially on snowy days). It's also a 1 minute walk to the business building so I could wake up 10 minutes before class and never be late. There's always someone at front desk and everyone I meet is incredibly kind. more

Sneed Hall

It often feels like the least renovated hall on campus. The bathrooms are often crowded, The halls are often noisy with a lot of sound bleeding out of and between rooms, and a water leak once cause a ceiling tile to warp, fall, and nearly hit me in the head. I did not enjoy my time here. more

It was decent, not bad for a dorm but nothing fancy. I can say it is very traditional, it was about 4,000 a year. The only thing that can prevent anyone is the laundry machine, a lot of them are breaking a lot, and there are not enough machine, and they need to be updated (some dryers do not dry enough, some washers don't drain enough). more

As an architecture student, clement hall was a great place to live on campus. Clement hall is located right in front of the College of Architecture, so getting to class on time is super easy. Furthermore, Clement hall is filled with architectural students with whom you can study together. more

I love living at Carpenter/Wells. The location is the very center of TTU, so you will be living in the heart of campus. Upon moving in, the cleanliness is top tier, and all appliances work well. I would recommend Carpenter/Wells for any student wanting to live on campus. more

Sneed is very close to the Engineering Pavilion, as well as most of the on campus options. However Sneed is on the edge of the campus, near an area that has had reports of crime. Sneed is very safe though, and has precautions to make sure the students living there are very safe and secure. more
