Gordon Dorm Reviews at Texas Tech

Gordon Hall is a great dorm for socialization and meeting new people. The maintenance team was surprisingly fast and responded quick to any of our needs. Issues at Gordon Hall pertained to the staffing of RA's, which doesn't fall on the specific building. The location is perfect for first year students taking classes out of the key, and is overall very close to any first year needs.

Gordon is not very clean and the room I'm in had multiple issues whenever I moved in. There is always a party going on as well as random people roaming throughout the dorm who aren't residents. The halls smell like weed at least 9 times out of 10 and the cops have yet to do much about the constant parties even after they've been reported.

I am currently a freshman studying Mechanical Engineering and for my Fall semester, I resided in Gordon hall. I chose Gordon since it is near the engineering buildings, science buildings, and of course the football field. That being said, Gordon is not really near anything else appealing such as the rec or popular dining buildings. Daily living and room layout actually exceeded my expectations and is definitely on of the more premium options as compared to traditional dorms.

I absolutely love it here and I want to experience more fun times. I met my roommate here and I love her and I love the dorm it is just a really great home away from home. I would definitely recommend Gordon to my friends.

Here at Gordon it has been a pleasant experience with only a few bumps in the road. I love having my own restroom and a common room, it can be a little loud at times but so far it has been great overall!
