Spanton Dorm Reviews at Akron

It was a normal college dorm experience. The bathrooms definitely needed cleaning a lot more than they did and the hot water was not working for a while. The building is overall just outdated like the rest of campus.

I had a great roommate. I only lived on Campus for one year, then took an apartment off campus. I would say that it was a good experience. I did encourage my kids to live on campus for at least a year as well.

Spanton residence hall was a standard dorm for sleeping and studying. There is not a lot of private areas/common rooms. Some of the doors lock from the inside so you can get locked in or use the emergency door.

Spanton is a great choice if you are not wanting to spend a bunch of extra money on the newer dorms. It is located right next to the dining hall and only about a 3 minute walk from the Student Union. I did not put Spanton on my list of desired residence halls but I’m very happy with my experience!
