Werth Tower

Werth Tower is great! I love the building itself, the cleanliness, and the rooms are very nice. I personally like the location as well, as it is very close to the track, student union, rec center, and other main parts of campus. However, it is a pretty long walk to Storrs center and some dining halls. But, there are always busses that I can take to anywhere on campus making the location not a big deal. Overall, I really love Werth and hope to stay in it for next semester as well. more

Batterson Hall

It is very noisy and the dorms are extremely small. It is definitely livable, but there is much better on campus. Also there is no air conditioning so any time it is hot outside, the dorms get extremely hot and humid. more

Buckley was an excellent place to live for my freshman year at UConn. I thoroughly enjoyed the room space, the facilities, and the staff. As well, the location was perfect as it is directly adjacent to Storrs center and near South dining hall. more

Rogers Hall

It is quiet and cleaned frequently. I never have to wait for a shower they are always available. The hall is girls only and has two bathrooms with three showers, two toilets, and two sinks. There is no water bottle filler but there is a trash room in the hallway. more

I stayed in Goodyear which is near the front facing the Gant Science Building. I really enjoyed the location. It was not hard to get to my classes. The communal bathrooms were alright for the most part. It stays very clean majority of the time. There would be a few occasions where there would be residents, but the dorm is pretty small so it isn't too bothersome. more

I've only had 2 bad experiences out of the year that I stayed there. The first was due to a pipe that busted from calcium corrosion, water was flooding in my bathroom and kitchen for 4 days and the office wouldn't send anyone to look at it. Took all of 2 hours to get it all fixed. Next issue, there was one month randomly that had bugs come from eveey which way no matter what product i used to kill, or the products i used to clean. Over all though, the staff, the neighbors, the amenities I loved. It was the perfect first apartment choice. I only left because I needed a bigger place to take my brother in and I needed to be in his school district. more

It was great having my own room and being able to cook meals. It wasn't the cleanest when we first got there which was my only complaint. It was also very convenient having a washer and dryer right in our apartment. more

Alumni Residence Halls - Waston Hall

It is one of the best locations on campus. Close to the recreation center, South Dining Hall, McMahon Dining Hall and the Student Union. Rooms are bigger than most dorms on campus, and showers have their own stall-- something a lot of dorms do not. The bottom level is for laundry, but most of the time the washers and dryers are full- so getting your laundry done is a struggle. Mail room is located in Watson, a lot of my peers and I often had trouble swiping into the building to get our mail. Overall, one of the better places to live on campus. more

It was crazy. Some of my ceiling panels fell off. My heater broke. The bathrooms were always disgusting but the janitor Luke was amazing. Also, the location of North is kind of out of the way. The dining hall was not as bad as many said it was. more

It was one of the best dorms I have stayed in on campus. The location was very close to downtown and the gym. It was also very close to South dining hall, which was very convenient if you wanted to grab a bite to eat. It was also close to McMahon dining hall, so you have options if needed. Although it seems further away from the center of campus, the walk is very easy and there is a bus stop right across the street in front of West Campus. more

While I would say that my experience at Towers was welcoming, I would not recommend this to others. It is not in a good location and is surrounded by freshmen so it is usually loud. It also takes the custodial staff a while to take care of obvious problems. more

Harry L. Garrigus Hall

My experience at Garrigus Hall has been almost entirely positive. I am in a triple suite, so 5 other people share the bathroom. All the RA's that I have met are welcoming and nice. The hall director is really funny and is always around for the residents. While Garrigus is on top of a hill, the location is perfect and its less than a 10 minute walk to the entire school of engineering as well as the center of campus. more

Overall my experience was okay. The dorm is very quiet but sometimes too quiet. The showers always had hair in them. If you’re living by yourself the dorm is bigger than Normal single dorms which is nice. more

Buckley/Shippee Hall

For a first year dorm Shippee was one of the best areas in my opinion. The room size was good and the noise level was very quiet, I was able to sleep through the night without hearing any loud noise. The location was half convenient considering the campus is huge, I loved being near storrs center and being able to go to downtown in less than 5 minutes. more

Washington Blvd

The UConn Stanford 900 Washington dorm is in the heart of downtown stamford with easy access to many resources. Unlike traditional dorms the apartment units at the 900 Washington blvd building makes residential life at stamford feel luxurious. I definitely recommend coming to UConn stamford and staying on campus if you prefer a city like environment. more

As a freshman, I was expecting less but was blown away. It's quite, clean, crime-free and generally awesome. I made lots of a friend, I didn't have to worry about my safety from the viral because it was deep cleaned like every day and we got tested randomly every few weeks. more

Rosebrooks House

I certainly enjoyed my living experience at Rosebrooks during my sophomore year. Rosebrooks is one of the nicer dorms on UConn's campus because it is newer than most other dorms, and I felt the room size was extremely adequate. Many of my friends who were living in smaller dorm rooms were jealous of the amount of closet space I had. more

Alumni Quadrangle - Brock Hall

They’re not the fanciest dorms, but they get the job done. It’s pretty close to 2 dining halls which is nice, and not too far from most of the classes I attended, though I would recommend a bike for extra expediency. more
