Pentland Hills Dorm Reviews at UC Riverside

I lived in Pentland Hills my freshman year at UCR in the specialty focus dorm for LGBTQ students. It costed extra, but its definitely the place to be if you want to create close connections with other queer students at UCR. Very clean, and the RAs designed specific programs for us too which was nice.

RA did a pretty good job at making sure everyone was welcomed and satisfied with the noise level in the building. Loved how the laundry machine was so close by and the common area was neat and organized. Very close to campus as well.

I had a really nice RA and everyone living in my building was really kind. The rooms were nice and the bathrooms were usually kept clean. There were just a few problems that kept occurring such as the shower heads breaking, or the wifi would cut out, or the air conditioning would turn off. Overall, it was a great freshman dorm located on a good spot on campus.

It was extremely quiet, but it was appreciated when I had exams. It was in a nice location and I loved the building. The rooms weren't tiny and the bathrooms were always clean. I did live in an all girls hall.

It was a really quiet dorm, and primarily was the dirtiest because not many people -- including staff stopped by. There was many instances of broken washing machines, trash chutes, and elevators that took awhile to be fixed.

Pentland Hills was the perfect residence hall for studying. I never had a hard time finding a quiet place to sit down and do my work. Maintenance was always there to help and would come soon after a complaint was made.

Pentland Hills is a basic dorm, not much excitement. The dressers and carpets are stained and its really strict. The fire alarms are sensitive; overall the dorm is a 3/5. The walk from here to anywhere is quite lengthy and will take a good 10-40 minutes walking to classes.

The area here is very pretty. The residence hall restaurant is very close so food is never too far. It's a short walk away. I like the common area despite not being able to use it due to COVID. I would recommend this residence hall to others.

I had a good dorm experience here. I think that if I were to dorm again I would most likely dorm at Lothian. Pentland hills was a pleasant experience, but it would be nice to have a dining hall close by. Other than that I had a decent time at Pentland.
