The dorm rooms are pretty well-maintained, except for the cheap paint on the walls. My floor had a problem with ceiling leaks during intense raining, but I blame that on the age of the infrastructure. Otherwise, the common rooms had some couches, chairs, and tables - perfect for group or solo studying. The dΓ©cor was originally bland, giving students the opportunity to customize it with posters and whatnot. Windows in the dorms have screens and are secure once locked, except the screens can pop off pretty easy. Desks in the dorms have a pretty good amount of space, shelfing, and drawers to store stuff. There's space under the beds for more storage, especially if you raise the bed height. In the closets, there is a wardrobe unit, a pole to hang clothes, and storage space above that. My one gripe with the closets is that the pole is hung way too low, giving ultimately very little space for the hung clothes to fall. Otherwise, my experience was adequate. The best part of housing at Roosevelt was meeting all the nice people I got to share the space with for less than a year!
