Hokona Hall Dorm Reviews at UNM

Hokona Hall is a positive and enjoyable space. The staff and students were friendly, and it was easy to meet new people. Living there made it convenient to get to classes, study, and participate in campus activities. Overall, Hokona Hall provided a comfortable place to live and helped me adjust to college life.

My experience at Hokona Hall was mostly positive. While the dormitory was fairly clean, the bathrooms and common areas would frequently be very messy. The staff of the dormitory was very helpful all of the time, and there was a game room under the dormitory which was also fun. The biggest downfall was that residents weren’t allowed to utilize the elevator, unless there was a medical reason to do so.

They close the bathrooms constantly for cleaning, there are a lot of kitchenettes, but they're all tiny and the water in the sinks doesn't get hot enough to clean your dishes, which is a bummer because the food from Lapo will make you want to eat as much of your own food as possible. Not super clean, nothing fancy, if someone decides to be loud, you will hear it.

A good community; the RAs are all good. Some rooms have slightly more storage space than others. Everything is cleaned regularly which makes me feel better about staying at the school amidst a pandemic.
