Hamilton Hall Dorm Reviews at University of Oregon

Hamilton's best aspect is the food. It is home to some of the best and most popular dining choice on campus. Besides that it is relatively outdated, contains communal bathrooms, and smaller rooms. However, UO is in the process of building a new Hamilton Hall so i'm sure these issues will be non existent in the near future.

The inside of Hamilton is usually quiet, it's the outside of the hall that's the noisiest. Specifically, the Mustangs and other various sports cars that like to speed down the street as loudly as they can back and forth right outside the dorm. The Safety wasn't the best, I have witnessed a few bike robberies from my window. The staff is wonderful and very nice, and the dorm is always clean.

I was in a quiet hall which was true to its name. The people were nice and mostly kept to themselves. We had a few movie nights and other common room events. The rooms in general were a little cramped but as long as you have a considerate roommate its manageable

I liked that it was near many of the places I needed to go to often but not right in the middle of campus. My roommate was great but it was difficult to meet others because I am shy and we didn’t have many get togethers.

My experience at Hamilton Hall was great. I met some of my best friends on my floor. The house keeping lady was very sweet. All of the bathrooms were very clean, it wasn't too loud on some days. Overall my experience was very fun and unforgettable.

This was honestly just a typical dorm life experience. I went to another university for my first year of college and stayed in a dorm there as well, and the experiences were very similar. You can definitely hear people partying and you have to share a bathroom with a whole bunch of people, but I do really enjoy the friendliness of the other residents there. Hamilton in particular is a good place to stay because the dining options are great and close by. You can also take your meal back to your room (as long as you return the dishes) if you don't feel like eating in a crowded dining hall setting.
