Walton Hall Dorm Reviews at University of Oregon

My experience has been a pleasant one while staying in Walton Hall. It has been relatively quiet and my RA has been attentive in all the ways that matter. There have been many opportunities afforded to become immersed in the community but only if you want to. The rooms are clean and the bathrooms are cleaned once a week by maintenance. It is a great dorm to choose.

Walton was a great hall except for its layout. The floors were separated very strange and forced students to exit the building in order to get to the other side of the floor. The rooms were very small, leaving maybe four feet between the two twin beds.

It is certainly the cheapest dorm for a reason. The rooms are small and the amenities aren't the greatest, but the dorm excels for the cost. The rooms are quiet and the furniture is sturdy and very useful.

Walton Hall, although is one of the older dorm halls on campus, is a nice place to live. The room I share with my roommate is a good size with plenty of space to store our things. The windows in my room are large allowing natural lighting all day and making the room seem bigger. The biggest problem that I have with my dorm is that the showers are divided by curtains that are not cleaned and are pretty gross. There are also no study rooms within the dorm, only music rooms that are in the basement which are very dark. However, I would still recommend Walton even through I have some complaints because I really like the location, which is close to dinning halls and the recreational center/fields. The rooms are also very nice and bright and are not to crowded.

Wonderful community in the middle of campus. If you don’t care so much about luxury, and you want more people and more fun, Walton is the place for you. It is nowhere near as nice as some of the newer dorms, but if you get Douglass hall, the view is impeccable.

Walton is a great Hall to live in. The rooma are not huge, but me and my roommate have plenty of room for our stuff and living space as well. The desks and desk chairs that come in the room are really nice to use for studying. Walton is also right next to both Eastern Easteries and the Commons (dining halls on campus)

I love Walton. Walton is a community residence hall and is still really clean. I also love that I can just walk down the hall and study in one of our study spaces that are on each floor. No complaints.

The hall is very outdated and that includes bathrooms, dorms, and communal areas. The basement is where you can really see how old the building is. The location makes up for some of it because it is central on campus and close to many dining halls.
