Scottish Rite Dormitory Dorm Reviews at UT Austin

Scottish Rite Dormitory has a home-away-from-home atmosphere, one that allows one aspect of college to be loving. The food is amazing, with a pastry chef always creating delicious desserts for every meal. The bathrooms are always clean, and the girls are wonderful!

It is a boujee all girls dorm, but it is surprisingly comparative to Jester. The important thing is just knowing about it and the application process. About half the girls are in Greek life. It is a great place to meet life long friends.

Had the absolute best time of my life freshman year because of Scottish Rite! You form genuine bonds and connections to the girls you live with — it's like a perpetual sleepover with a diverse group of girls. 10/10 would live there again and again.

There is no better place to live as a freshman girl than SRD. The bathrooms (though community, if you had a cheaper room) were cleaned twice daily. The food was excellent and we even had a pastry chef. It was such a great atmosphere to be surrounded by other new UT girls. The common areas had TVs and snacks were always available downstairs. You had to buzz in with the security people at night, so it was very safe, too.
