Oak Ridge Hall

It was my first dorm living experience. I loved the decorations, the RA's, and meeting new people. It was easy to socialize and feel at home on campus. My favorite part of the dorm was the view out the window, and the sound of the laundry room, which was always comforting. more

Karlgaard Towers: Towers North

It was a fun experience, the rooms were furnished with updated beds, desk, and closest. I felt safe and protected by staff. My RA also was a good rescore to go to. I was overall very happy with my experience, I told many incoming freshman to try and get into towers. more

Bridgman Hall

I personally did not like living in the dorms. The actual rooms were fairly clean. There was a student custodial closet where I had easy access to pest spray, a vacuum and other necessities. The bathrooms were akin to camping showers but with less bugs. Dorm life was not for me but Bridgman was probably one of the better halls to live in. more

Karlgaard Towers Hall

A very nice dorm to stay at for your first year. It isn't old, which is a major perk given how tall the building is! It has an elevator, A/C that works perfectly. There's kitchens and sinks everywhere that are open for use 24/7. I've only ever had the occasional noise issue, but otherwise it was a very peaceful experience. There's always enough showers and equipment to use. You never have to search too hard for study space. I'd recommend this hall over any others just from my experience in there for a year. more

It's a lovely hall, located on lower campus. Easy to get to class in 5-10 minutes. Only downside, if you ordered anything online, you have to walk up The Hill to get it. You'll find out about The Hill soon enough. more

Okay experience - people keep to themselves. Dorm rooms on floor above me had mouse issues. Biggest asset was the attached T-Store to buy food, when needed. Another good thing is that the "R" student parking lot is located close by. more

Governors Hall

One of the most conveniently placed dorms on upper campus, I was in the north wing made up of all girls' floors and it was kept clean by maintenance and residents. Bathrooms had three stalls and three showers for our floor but we never had any trouble over sharing. more

My floor was pretty calm for the most part and there was rarely any trash laying around, it was a really nice building to live in my first year. Up until the last few weeks it was always pretty quiet in my building nobody was ever running down the halls or pounding on doors. everyone was really respectful of others and their spaces. more

Perfect for the person who doesn't want to live on campus like a newbie student. The location in Midtown is full of arts and hot restaurants to hangout with friends, but it's still close enough to campus that you won't have a long commute. It's perfect for young adults. more

Haymarket Landing

Haymarket is a very nice and clean space. Granite countertops, dishwasher, new and fancy washer and dryer, high-quality fridge and freezer, air conditioning, and more. There is lots of space and definitely worth the price if you can afford it. Would highly recommend. I like in a double-double. So me and someone share a room and a bathroom and it works well. more
