Overall, Unionwest is an overpriced unfinished building/promise. The staff is great, however some residents will experience some maintenance issues with their showers due to them not being properly sealed. The surrounding area at Unionwest isn't the best, there are a lot of homeless people roaming streets right next to the building. The remaining "restaurants" whey have not open yet due to the owners waiting for the dorms to be a full capacity, leaving residents with only Subway and Dunkin. This causes many students without a car to order expensive groceries either through Amazon, Walmart or Instacart. So, again I wouldn't recommend UnionWest dorms to other students, they are better off saving thousands and living in a better area by getting an apartment with roommates. There isn't much of a college feel in downtown, so if you are looking to experience college life and be social whether you are a Valencia student or a UCF student there are much better opportunities then Unionwest.
