Douthit Hills Dorm Reviews at Clemson

Douthit hills is extremely clean, if something is broken maintenance will be there within 24 hours to fix it, if its an emergency they dispatch a maintenance crew immediately, the rooms are very nice and all rooms have windows

Coming in as a freshman and staying in the "nicest" dorms, I was really blessed. The apartments were super nice and clean and everything worked. The only problem I had with Douthit, was that the elevators were always broken or having some type of problem. Other than that, the RA's were good. The staff was super friendly and executed their jobs perfectly.

Very much like staying at a hotel which created a nice environment to transition from living at home. The bathrooms were single stalls that provided a lot of privacy and ability to relax and take care of all bathroom needs without being overwhelmed by the presence of others especially with it being a coed dorm. The dorms themselves were spacious and new and very well kept.

Douthit Hills was a really nice area to live as a freshman in college. It felt more like an apartment complex than a typical dorm. The facilities were clean and quiet, the common areas were clean and accommodating, and the overall experience was very good. The only downside is the location, since it is located on the outskirts of campus. However, there is a nice gym, bookstore, and dining hall right beside the dorm buildings that is part of Douthit Hills, which were maintained very well and were an important part of living there.

My experience at Douthit has been pretty good. My only complaint is noise. The walls are thin and you can hear just about everything(roommate, hallway, upstairs). The space is nice and I like the location.

I love my RA and maintenance staff, but students are disrespectful to basic safety rules and are given no consequences. There is a ridiculous slew of things the maintenance staff are made to clean up in the bathrooms daily and students have a disregard for general cleanliness.

My experience was great minus the parking. I would have stayed at douthit all 4 years if the parking was not so difficult. It is in a great location on campus and is within walking distance to everything. It was nice to have food, the bookstore, and the gym inside of douthit.

I love the wet core style bathrooms and the newness of the building all around. It is very convenient being right next to the Hub and if you have a car, the parking lot is literally right there. However, the only issue that I have faced is that the community of residents doesn't seem to be as strong as some of the other residence halls but that may just be my hall.

Douthit Hills is an amazing place to stay for any incoming freshman and the staff are always friendly. The interior of the building looks fabulous since this housing is the newest on Clemson's campus. A walk to the community hub for Starbucks, textbooks, gym, and the dining hall are less than 5 minutes away from the dorm which is super convenient.

I have had an amazing experience here and it is definitely the nicest dorm building I have ever seen. The dorms are very large with large closets. The building get cleaned very often and the study spaces and common spaces are large and comfortable.

My experience at douthit has been very pleasing. I love the location, common areas, social distancing, and covid protools. The only annoying thing is the parking. The workers are very helpful and nice.
